Re: AT THE BAR--for now..? (Vanessa)
Vanessa had been beyond excited when she had found the flier for the Halloween party at Casket, something like this was exactly what she needed. In October she had been sleeping less and less, having those atrocious night terrors. Once, the man that had been chasing her had turned into a giant snake, hissing as it chased her down the halls. The night terrors had just been the start of everything though. The strange night vision had been the worst, since it had led to a collision with Richard, and a very odd conversation. She was never able to figure out why her vision had suddenly gone so strange, and it hadn't happened again. The eye doctor thought she was absolutely batty and simply gave her a new prescription for reading glasses instead.
She had to admit that she was even more excited when Idris had agreed to take her up on her free cab offer. There was simply something about him that she couldn't put her finger on. He was after all, the first person she had met at Pax, and definitely the person she was the most comfortable with, but there was something more to it than that. As they drank at Casket, Vanessa couldn't get over this strange brother/sisterly feeling she suddenly felt towards him, but what made it even stranger was the fact that she was definitely still attracted to him. Of course after all that happened, Vanessa really didn't care or even think about anything one bit, it was just there as yet another strange thing to add to what had become her life.
She had taken her costume one step further and attached the knee highs to a garter belt, so that she didn't have to pull them up every time she decided to move. "Why thank you. I have to say, you definitely work the Zorro look." She laughed as she ordered them a round of shots, red headed sluts to be exact (Jagger, cranberry, and peachtree schnapps). Vanessa was turned around on her stool to face Idris, and she uncrossed her legs to rest her feet on the bottom rung of Idris's bar stool. "I'm glad to have found someone who appreciates getting drunk every once in awhile as much as me."
