Nathaniel had done the works: blood red roses, even an assortment of Halloween candies; all presented to the lovely Juliet who looked beautiful in her costume as Little Red Ridinghood.
Nathaniel was ashamed that he had thought, upon Juliet mentioning that she would be the fairy tale character, that she would be clothed in something short, thin and exposing. He had fantasies of that outfit. Then Juliet carefully stepped out of her apartment in the more conservative costume and Nathaniel realized that this was much, much better. It was more of a tease than the revealing costumes on the market, that's for sure.
He supposed his costume was conservative in some ways as well. Wearing a black suit with matching bowtie, Nathaniel simply donned a wolf mask. The big bad wolf to this scrumptious treat.
Juliet had taken Nathaniel's arm as they left his car and made their way to the club and still held onto it gently as they walked in. Looking around, Nathaniel smiled at the business and costumes. "You know, in the town I grew up in, Halloween was celebrated with bonfires and fireworks. The adults didn't really go to clubs and dress up. You're Americanizing me, Miss. Blackwater," Nathaniel teased. He reached for her hand on his arm, taking it in his before exchanging it to his other hand. "What would you like to do, darling? Would you like a drink or to go dancing? Whatever your heart desires, Juliet."
