“Because I’m on a boat!” she laughed, ducking her head underwater for a moment before she started singing offkey about riding dolphins and banging mermaids. Now that there was a date on the horizon, she was going to try to curb the random outbursts. Fail, most likely, but the thought was there. “Good thing I’m a big fan of surprises. Snack-slash-sandwich preference?”
She narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips at this supposed innocent. She start splashing water in his general direction, small little splashes of course. If they grew in intensity she didn’t notice, certainly not on purpose, and she only gave him her best innocent look in turn. “Rock? Hip hop? Anything with a good beat and sound that I could move to.” Her hands came up to do a little wave and dance before going back to their previous and oh so important task of slyly splashing Paul.
“Pet peeves, pet peeeeeves… I hate when people are late?” That sounded lame in her mind before she said it, worse when she did. “Arrogant asshattery, people who smell, people who don’t recycle! Ugh that’s there worst. The only excuse now is pure laziness and that’s not even an excuse.” She gave him a small splash, this time to signal that she was done. “So I guess, you know, the usual stuff. Your turn. And… Fear. Dun, dun, dun, dun. What are you afraid?” Her expression was a solemn one, or at least she tried to. It was hard to keep the Jaws theme from running through her head and the way her lips pressed together, she was on the verge of humming it too.
