She gave an indignant little snort but she couldn’t keep the grin from tugging at her lips. “It’s a very important lunch.” Granted she hadn’t yet had this supposedly important lunch with everyone else at the Institute but she wasn’t about to bring that up.
She nodded politely as he spoke, not in the least bit surprised that he liked to play in the water. It sort of came with the territory. The mention of a boat raised her eyebrows. Impressive. “Same. Though, I’m definitely not lucky enough to have a boat.” She nudged his shoulder again gently with a smirk. This was where he should invite her on his boat. “Surf, swim, diving although I haven’t done it in a while. You know, the usual.” She shrugged slightly. She could go more into detail but there was hardly a water sport that she wasn’t into.
“What have you read recently? What kind of boat do you have? How long have you lived in California? Yes this all counts as one turn since I did it in one breath.” She ran out of breath and steam at her last words, ending her sentence with a small cough. Quickly she followed it up by a laugh and she tucked her hair behind her ears self consciously. “I talk a lot.” Understatement of the afternoon.
