He didn't mind talking about what he liked to do, or talking about anything - that was most likely something he needed to get over because they just met only a few weeks ago and...urgh! But he just didn't have anyone to talk to about, well, anything. So while he knew he probably said too much, he just couldn't help it. It was like his unconscious was screaming at him to just open up for once because the excess crap was starting to spill out over the edge of his mind.
Though that was quickly squelched. People didn't open up to pretty girls they worked with and felt some bizarre, otherworldly connection to. Not sane people, anyway.
