"I don't know, but...he was really healthy so a heart attack doesn't make much sense. My mom's been keeping me updated," Paul shrugged. "I guess she's just paranoid. Maybe he had enemies we didn't know of." He didn't want to mention Vince's father, and the connection there - not because he didn't want Cassie to know, but just because Vince probably wouldn't have wanted the murder information broadcast.
But then he tried to perk up so as not to ruin this experience. It definitely wasn't one he wanted to bring down by being an idiot, and scaring Cassie away with his drama was also a no-no. "Anyway, it's hard to feel like you're in an episode of CSI when the beach is right here," he said. "And don't worry about taking advantage of me.
