Erebos ([info]the__dark__one) wrote in [info]paxletalelogs,
(ugh - caught the death plague, sorry, sorry)
There was something magical about making this little firecracker smile. Unaware that many could say the same thing about him, he found himself wanting to learn just what it was that could engender a response such as that. It seemed so rare on a face like hers.

When she remembered to hold the door open for him, he almost chuckled. Almost, because it amused him that she had assumed the role of door-holder (even though that was typically his own role), but he was not willing to suggest that he was laughing at her. Instead, he gently set his hand on the door and waited until she let go before following her inside.

Burger King.

He hadn't eaten fast food in a very long time. If he didn't bring his own lunch, he typically found himself preferring to skip lunch rather than eat the quick alternatives available. Some of the food on the menu didn't even look like naturally occurring food. What was a "McFish", really? But this is where Charlie chose, ostensibly because this is what she preferred. And he was more than willing to make the adjustment for her sake.

"What do you get?" he asked, without turning away from his study of the menu boards over their heads. "I don't frequently eat here." The salads looked like they might be all right.
