Her hand clenched the handle of her shopping bag, a little taken aback by Elias' question. The dynamic between them had been shaky at best, though she did have to thank the man for the reclamation of a potential relationship between herself and her half-brother.
And they were both obviously dying to remove themselves from the current location - she had just been about to get food, so what was the harm in walking out with him? A niggling feeling in the back of her mind gave a furious nod toward that decision, so she gave a subtle one to Elias.
"Uh, sure. I was goin' to get some grub - late dinner, I guess." It was probably the best she'd end up doing in the idea of inviting him to eat, but at least she was acquiescing to spending more time with him? Surely that counted for something.
"I think there's...uh, a Burger King aroun' the corner. Unless yah..." The fact that she was going out of her way to try and be accommodating to Elias' tastes surprised Charlie, but something in her mind was forcing such cooperation. Normally no one pulled that kind of emotion from her, with the exception of her boyfriend, but she figured the reasons for that were how long they'd known each other and the fact that she wanted to continue receiving his attention. Still, there was a voice in her mind that told her that she nearly craved the same thing from this man, whom she hardly knew.
