This expedition refused to go as planned.

"Charlie," he greeted. He had nothing in his hands, nothing to incriminate him or reveal why he was here in the first place -- but there was some pleasure in seeing her at this place. He knew at least now that she shopped at this store. What she purchased, however... His eyes traveled briefly to the bag hanging from her fingers, then back to her face again. What would catch her attention here? What could he buy that would be a sensible gift?

Rylee had some ideas, but the idea of a coupon book - although reasonable and practical - seemed somewhat flat. And he had already given her a weapon to hang on her walls. To duplicate the same idea seemed... Hm.

"I'll admit that I'm not in my element. I'm gift shopping but nothing seems. Right. Here." His words came slowly, punctuated with pauses as he found the cleanest words to describe his difficulty.

"It's frustrating," he finished at last. "What do you prefer here? Maybe with your insight, I'll have better luck."

Well now. That was more clever than he'd intended. But there it was.
