((from ny originally and didn't know that the animal was a beaver!))
"Beaver? What kind of state animal is a beaver? I always thought state animals should be fierce or at least dangerous, not a hard working beaver, although I suppose that does represent New Yorkers in a way, always working." Or at least that was the stereotype.
Iris laughed at his reaction to the albino alligator. She SHOULD be being approached by people, asked five million questions, but for some reason no one was approaching her, it was very, very strange. Nevertheless, it gave her time to talk with Dov. "Come on, I'll show you Winston. He's actually in the back and not out to the public yet, but for a fellow Pax resident I can take you back there. I'm dreading how the public is going to receive him, people can be so freaked out by alligators and anything albino, the two combined is bound to be an interesting combination."
Iris took him through an employee door that was hidden among the zoo exhibit. It wasn't that exciting, all you saw was the back of animal tanks. However Iris took him passed co-workers and towards Winston. "You sleep on someone's couch???" That sounded like that really seriously sucked.
