Lucy nodded, shaking loose more hair. It didn't matter anymore, she'd given up trying to make it stop. She didn't want to speak the words. Somehow, it seemed as if it would be less real, less tangible if she didn't say it. She couldn't not tell him though, not while she was going bald in his arms.
"I wear wigs." Normally, that was hard for her to say. However, she felt safe here. It was like being back in the elevator with his sister. There was a different sort of safety here. She had a sense of camaraderie with Alex, this felt entirely different and much more intimate.
She sniffled and hiccuped as her sobs began to reduce to gentle shuddering breaths.
