James was laying on his couch, his nose wrinkled in disgust at some television show on MTV as he pondered over what happened to the channel. He recalled when MTV actually played music videos. Music videos, Road Rules, and The Real World. Shows he used to watch with his friends until his mother would overhear the television and command he turned it off. Now he was old enough to watch the crappy shows and music videos but they didn't even show them anymore.
The knock on his door didn't entirely come as a surprise. Often times Alex would stop by with no prior plans and as James hopped to his feet he expected to have his sister greet him on the other side of the door.
Opening the door he was ready to start off conversation with a tease to his sister but instead he found the little blonde he had met at the flower shop. She looked... beautiful. Bright happy, practically glowing, and she was standing outside of James door. His jaw dropped slightly but a corner of his mouth quickly curled into a smile.
"Hey, Lucy," James said after a moment. His eyes very obviously looked her over, returning his gaze to hers and his smile grew. It was so odd. The attraction he felt towards this girl was relatively the same that he felt towards men. James had become quite sure that he was gay but this little ray of sunshine made him second guess himself. "How are you doing? Come in, come in."
