The cap was actually a little big, but Richard hardly noticed as he pulled it on and headed for the nearest mirror. The man who stared out at him looked as though he belonged in a WWI movie. It was better than he could have expected. "What do you think?" he asked, turning back to Lucy. "Will I cut a dashing figure at a Halloween party in this?"
Personally, he thought that it was about as good as any costume was likely to get. Which meant he would need to help her find something in return. Privately, he thought the bell bottoms were a great idea. Maybe he could talk her into a fringed leather jacket and a headband, as well. Too bad she wasn't a brunette- this shop probably had all the necessary parts for a Janis Joplin costume.
