Karin was less surprised than Fiona at the nature of this call. The injury itself - if that is indeed what it was - was markedly odd, but nothing else about the scenario truly was. Since her nursing school days she had been called upon by friends, family, and potential suitors alike, all vying for her attention or just for free health care. She did not especially mind; it suited her nurturer's mentality well enough, and if it ever struck her as manipulative or selfish, she never let on.
"A couple beers for us, too," Karin said, distracted as she looked her guest carefully over. It might not have been the best of plans, Karin still having no real idea as to the source of Sean's malady. But at present her foremost concern was calming him down, her intent solely to ease the tension he was putting on himself in order to get to the true root of the problem. She had no liquor in the house - that she could recall, she amended, knowing well there was a possibility Fee herself had procured some - so beer remained the best option for now.
"When did you start feeling this?" she asked, brow arched as she peered at his tensed throat. "Just today?" A shallow crease lined her forehead, her head tipping to one side as she regarded him more closely. "Have you eaten anything unusual, touched anything strange, been bitten by anything..."
