Sean had thought about that as he had driven over, the emergency room certainly would've been a wiser choice, but he hadn't thought with his brain, and instead with his wallet. One single trip to the emergency room could mean a week or more of eating nothing but beans and rice. Besides, the very first instinct had been to text Karin, and he was going to stick to that instinct, it had never served him wrong in the past. Sean nodded to Fee, wishing he could have made a better impression than he was making now. He would have at least put on proper clothes to meet Karin's sister, but instead, there he was sweaty and wearing brown cotton shorts, a simple white tee-shirt and tan sandals. Even though he had only had half a yoga class, he had gone to the beach this morning and done his own workout session, so he couldn't exactly have smelled like flowers.
"I was halfway through my class when my leg suddenly felt as if it were being put in a vice, getting worse and worse no matter what positions I tried. I've never felt anything like that before." Sean was speaking slowly through labored breaths, getting out what he needed to say, but certainly not with ease. "When I started having difficulty catching my breath I texted you."
