It had been two days, but Karin was still recovering from her fight with Fiona. Things had been tense around the apartment, but within a day's time they had at least managed to start talking again. Fumbling apologies were exchanged and too-tight hugs shared, but there remained a sense of something left unsaid, of something dark and heavy lingering between them that had not yet begun to dissipate. And so when Karin heard the ringing of her text message notification, she reached quite eagerly for her phone, glad of some distraction from the wheeling, repetitive thoughts eating up her mind.
She blinked down at the text, wondering what his vagueness might be about. She had no intention of pushing him aside when he needed help - God knew he had done enough and more for her, though it could not be said he had gotten nothing from it - but it could only be good to prepare.
