"That is definitely a follow up question," Richard replied, tilting his head and finally returning Samuel's look of naked appraisal. He wondered what the other man thought he had learned from that exchange. Something worthwhile, that was for sure. But he hadn't he hadn't seemed put off by it in the least- a fact that both interested and worried Richard. Samuel seemed like the kind of guy who pulled no punches and took no names, and Richard found himself liking that more and more. He got the feeling that people always knew where they stood around Samuel.
Or where they sat, in his case. He pulled out another cookie and started to think of a question. It had to be good, but not repetitive. Something that only Truth or Dare would get him to answer. When the thought struck, Richard put down the cookie and grinned.
"Alright. Truth. What's the one thing you would never tell your partner? Romantic partner, that is." He waved a hand, as if to shoo away the specifics of the question. "I don't care whether it's a date, or the woman you've been married to for fifty years. One thing you'd never say."
