Following Lia into the elevator, Riley took up one of the corners, holding the bags tightly as it began to rise. Absently, she wondered if she should have simply walked up to the deluxe floor with the groceries. But she banished those thoughts quickly - it was much better to stay here and be social with her neighbor.
"I try to do those," she said brightly. At the thanks, she shook her head. "It's my pleasure, really! I like getting to know my neighbors and giving them a hand." The question made her shrug, moving her head from side to side in a "so-so" gesture. "Sorta," she started. "I got here when the building first opened, back in mid-June. So in the grand scheme of life, not really, but for this place, I guess I'm an old timer!"
