“Fair enough,” Luc conceded to the fact that the money would go to the center itself, which, in some way, actually made him feel better about having offered. Wasn't like he hadn't thrown more money away on something far more pointless in the recent past.
The meditation thing stuck in Luc's mind, and he made a mental note to ask further about it after the class was done (after all, he didn't want to make Sean run late or anything) about the meditation classes – because that seemed like something he could use more of. Especially lately, with whateverthefuck was going on in his head.
He was actually really glad Sean had taken him up on the offer to smoke, and only part of the reason was that Luc hated smoking alone. The other part, well.. that was neither here nor there.
“I'm actually free pretty much the rest of the day,” he said with a radiant smile. “Took a.. personal day. From work.” He gave a sheepish laugh, not even really wanting to dive into that barrel of monkeys (sometimes he felt like that was an appropriate description for some of the 'talent' he worked with) right now. “We can even grab a bite to eat afterward, if you don't have anything scheduled.”
Now that.. was thisclose to being out of line in Luc's book. Per his own personal guidelines of behavior of course, which were sometimes neurotic at best. Crazy at worst. But this? Was strictly a professional luncheon. Obviously.
He was justifying a lot of things to himself today, wasn't he?
