Joaquin was left speechless as he felt Luc's hand rest against his cheek, staring ahead into the other man's eyes. God, that sounded so corny. Dear diary, today Luc came over and when he was leaving I stared into his eyes as he touched my cheek! Oh my fucking gosh! It was nice, though. Really nice. Like... Maybe all this complicated bullshit was getting acknowledged, somehow. He found himself smiling again, just a little as he nodded to Luc's promise.

"No, um, thank you, I'm really glad you like them." He ran a hand through his hair, looking away nervously. "So're you," he said softly, giving Luc a quick wave as he hurried toward the elevator, then closed the door and leaned against it.

Oh boy...
