Joaquin held his breath as he studied Luc's face, trying to determine what exactly the man thought of the paintings. He'd tried his best to follow what Luc wanted, with his own personal touch, of course, but fuck if it wasn't nerve-wracking. Luc wasn't someone he felt he could just ignore the opinion of. He cared. Probably too much, and he didn't really want to think about why, but he did.

The man's words made the colour drain from his face, blinking a few times. "Um - well - I um..." Giving Luc another look, he bit his lip before he spoke again. "You're kidding, right? Um... I mean of course it's okay if - if you don't like it or want something new or to start from scratch, but..." He had the feeling Luc was kidding, but how could he be sure? He'd changed his mind about the paintings before - granted, before he'd started them, but... Maybe he was just being paranoid.
