She glanced at Ry, a flicker of a smile similar in tone to his striking across her face. There were a few good memories of Missouri, she had to admit, and then Charlie pulled her gaze away from his to stare back at the menu, finally leaving it alone entirely. She'd just get a burger, preferably without the sprouts, whatever the hell those were. Maybe they could give her extra ketchup or something.
"Yeah, I 'member what that's like," she agreed, thinking of all the stunts she'd pulled back at Bull Creek, often with Rylee in tow. Suddenly her mouth was moving with a story of her own to tell, something she usually wasn't inclined to do.
"Ya'll should'a been there when Ry learned to drive; this boy, he's got the smarts, but sometimes he does do things that make yah wonder," she started, a mischievous gaze bouncing back to Rylee to see how he would fare in retelling this particular adventure.
