Oh no. Oh she hadn't meant that at all. She wasn't the brave sort. Adventures were fun and all, but only when they didn't involve mysterious people trying to lock other people into hidden rooms with creepy collections of things.
"Someone needs to go with you," she reaffirmed. "And if it has to be me, then I will." She really, really hoped it wouldn't have to be her. She hoped it would be an army. A big army, all well armed and protected and carrying well charged cell phones that had good signals.
When he assured her he would take someone with him, she pursed and twisted her lips into a slightly crooked, concerned expression.
"You should take more than one person. You don't know how many people are in on this. And you need someone who can help you in case they hurt one of you. Or you both get trapped."
