Lucy followed Max, her arms folded across her chest. The smell of food was having the opposite effect on her. It was making her stomach roll and her mind rebelled at the idea of putting any of it into her system. She was too worried to eat. She wasn't as convinced as he was that he'd be okay if he returned to that room. Something about the whole situation gave her a very bad feeling.
"What if they don't sleep though? Or what if they have a weird sleeping habit and are awake at odd hours too? You can't go. Especially not by yourself." In her mind, she'd need an army to make this entire trip acceptable. He was taking too big a risk that she wasn't sure was worth it.
