She walked down to where her ball rested and lined up her next shot. With a gentle tap, the ball rolled right into the hole. She grinned and clapped her hands together, obviously very pleased with herself.
She retrieved her ball and moved off to the side, thinking about what Max had asked. She had felt something similar, an odd sense of recognition. It was a very diluted version of what she had felt with James. Maybe there was something in the air system at Pax that made people feel like they knew one another. Why anyone would want to do that was beyond her. Maybe it was some sort of science experiment.
"I don't think so? I mean, if we did I don't remember. Sort of. Like...I kind of feel like I remember you, but not really? That doesn't make any sense, does it?"
