"Oh, I do, I do understand," she replied, even though she didn't. Eris couldn't understand how anyone could dislike blood and carrion and all the lovely things that came with it, like the wretched smell... She quickly blinked and came back to the present, trying to keep herself from daydreaming the wonderful battles that she would soon be living.
Waving a hand in the air nonchalantly, Eris gave a little shrug, though if one were to look closely enough, they could see the excitement vibrating off of her body.
"Yes, I suppose I do. Men might fight, surely, but then Athena or one of the other less blood-inclined deities will see fit to draw the battle to a close too quickly - and then where would all the fun be had?" Eris took her job quite seriously, though whether she actually thought she was doing mankind some kind of cruel and twisted favor or if all of this was merely for her own amusement was another question entirely.
Kicking at a few more plates, she moved down to the end of the table, essentially clearing it with as much noise and disaster as she was wont to provide in everything she did. Upon reaching the end, she jumped down, cutting down her height noticeably until she was much, much shorter than Aphrodite. But this reduction had no bearing on her attitude. Giving a little curtsey with her abysmally dirty dress, Discord smiled.
