"Right now I haven't been able to set anything up, trying to work with this comic book store that only does table top RPGs. They have the capabilities for at least a handful of PCs, but the owner thinks I'll surge their electricity trying to hook it all up..." He added a few more M&Ms to the repertoire in his mouth, eyes glancing over to the elevator as it slowly made its descent. The wiring at the comic book shop wasn't old, at all, and he knew that the owner could potentially charge for food and drink, not to mention the tidy bundle they could make with just selling product. Max was more interested in getting his name out, through whatever channels possible.
"Oh, and a LAN party is just where a bunch of people get together with computers to play video games. Usually some kind of MMO or other multiplayer game - like TF2, or COD, which is the popular one," he added, rolling his eyes. He enjoyed the shoot'em'up games as much as the next kid, but there was something to be said for depth and story within a game. Not that COD didn't have it, Max just disliked the stigma that came when people found out that you played video games - that Halo and COD were the only things you knew of. Whether the additional terminology he'd dropped was foreign to Dom as well (and most likely it was, considering that he hadn't known what a LAN party was) didn't cross Max's mind.
The elevator doors chimed open, and Max stepped inside.
"You said second floor, right?" He reached out and jabbed the button, once again covering the button, and then seemed to actually notice what he was doing. "Oh, wow, hah, my bad." Wiping his hand on his pants, he then attempted to use the bottom of his shirt to clean the besmirched operation key. Then he tapped the sixth floor button.
