Without hesitation, Fee immediately started ticking off symptoms on her fingers.

It was as though she'd memorized them from a textbook -- which, actually, she had. Fiona had really enjoyed bartending school, and had paid close attention to what she'd learned there. And of course, a lot of this stuff she hadn't actually learned in a classroom -- the classroom had just given her the formal words for what she'd already had plenty of experience observing.
