"Really? Wonderful, now she's getting trapped in elevators," James replied with his voice trailing off. Overprotective? Yes. He had always been a little overprotective of his youngest sister and since moving to the apartment complex and hearing of her complaints about the area he was growing more and more of the opinion that she should move to somewhere safer. But... she was an adult and all that so James couldn't just pick her up and carry her away from danger as he would have while they were children.
Turning his attention back to Lucy his face brightened and he smiled again. "Well I'm glad you've met her and I'm glad we're neighbors. You know, if you ever need anything... or would simply like to visit... you're more than welcome to stop by." He retrieved his card and slipped it back into his wallet then grabbed the flowers. "I'm serious. I'd be happy to have the company." He smiled softly at Lucy then took a step back. "Well, I should be going. It's been nice meeting you, Lucy."
