Right. Flowers, that's what they sold here. That's what her job was, to sell flowers. Not to stare at this extremely attractive man. Stop staring Lucy. She forced herself to blink and gave her head a small shake, trying to refocus herself. Then he had to go and smile, and it made her insides melt. What was wrong with her? She had to get back on track. The best way to go about that was to look somewhere else. That somewhere else ended up being her flip flopped, purple toe nailed feet. She wiggled her toes. Unfortunately that did not make them as interesting as the man in front of her.
"I..I suppose I can do that, yes. That is my job." She stole a quick peek at him, hoping that now that she'd managed to look away he wouldn't be so captivating. She was wrong. "Um...what are the flowers for?" She was ridiculously pleased with the fact that they were for his sister. She couldn't begin to imagine the disappointment she would have felt if he had said girlfriend or wife. Not that those weren't still possibilities. Extremely upsetting possibilities.
