Alexandria gave her a half-smile. "Don't go to the Northeast in winter, then. Spring is beautiful, summer's humid, and fall is really lovely too, actually. But winter..." she shook her head. "It's not for humans, I don't think. I don't know how people do it year after year."
She shrugged. "Sometimes you have to do things your parents don't want you to do, though, just to prove to yourself that you can. Though, like I said, it's not really necessary to go as far as Philadelphia. Good for you for taking the first step."
She smiled, and the elevator lurched. Alexandria looked up, her hand clutching her bag.
