That was the only reason it would come up. Cancer wasn't something you just casually talked about in passing conversation. Was it her hair? Was it not on straight? She knew she'd put her make up on, so it wasn't that. Maybe her wig had slipped in the jostle of the elevator and she hadn't caught it when she had checked to make sure it was still in place. Not having a mirror did make it somewhat difficult.
