"We are," Alexandria replied, answering first things first. "There's only one elevator, though, so someone should notice relatively soon that it's not operational. With any luck, it won't be long before someone fixes it."
With that, she folded her legs to one side, settling her bag next to her. That the girl had been living with her parents added just another piece of circumstantial evidence to the theory of which Alexandria was already mostly convinced. She remained silent on that point, however.
"I've been here about a year now. Where do your parents live?"
