His assertion made her laugh. "That has yet to be seen. To me, you're one for two. Fifty percent. Not usually quite yet." Sipping her smoothie, she settled back into her chair comfortably. Melinda would probably go off on her the next day if she found out that Riley had gone in and sparred with a total stranger without considering the fact that she could have been seriously injured. But that was a risk Riley was willing to take. Besides, it had turned out okay in the end. Clearly, there was no stupid risk at all.
"Shitty?" she asked impishly, tone teasing. "My gym is two blocks further away from where I live. Today I felt lazy, and decided to not walk the extra four blocks round trip." She shrugged, expression unapologetic. She could recognize that it was stupid reasoning, but didn't really care. Stupid reasoning had worked for her so far.
