Deep breath in. Count to ten. Deep breath out. Riley had been fairly lucky in that she was rarely heckled. She tended to frequent places that were concentrated in boxing fans so that she could rely on her reputation to keep jerks from picking on the girl. But there were times when even she couldn't avoid these situations, and she had to get through them without losing her cool.
Her smile grew a bit fake, but she kept it nonetheless. "Gee," she said, tone cheerful. "A star personal trainer and an accomplished paramedic. You're really something, aren't you?" She let out a playful little laugh, canting her head to the side. "If I ever need anything, you'll be the first person I ask. Promise."
