Rylee had known Charlie for fifteen years and during that time he had learned to read her facial expressions. At times he felt a little rusty, especially after the time he and Charlie had spent apart, but he wasn't so rusty as to miss the realization in Charlie's face. She knew why he was panicking and only rolled her eyes. It was okay, she was okay with what had happened. Rylee immediately felt more relaxed and went back to petting Jack.
"Yeah, you get to pick the movie and we'll get whatever snacks you want. I'm paying so you can go wild." He grinned at Charlie but there was still a sheepishness in his smile due to the other man being present. He knew Charlie couldn't turn down free food. But the movement of the other man, Elias, made Rylee turn as Charlie moved after him. Window clamps?
"Maybe it'll be good since you're on the first floor," Rylee said softly. He didn't want to agree with Elias because the man still unnerved him but he had to admit that this idea at the very least was a good one. Still he couldn't help but add. "She does have a gun and she's a good shot."
Rylee glanced at Charlie, a light blush on his cheeks as he hoped she wouldn't be offended by what he said. She never needed someone sticking up for her but he couldn't help it. He wanted Elias to know that he had been there first and Charlie was his.
