"No - I thought we were gonna go to the movies?" She couldn't really fathom what might upset him enough to think that he needed to leave - surely Elias' presence couldn't be that off setting. The intense blushing, though, said something of his thoughts, and for a moment she wondered if he'd finally recalled the other night in its entirety. A mental sigh made her roll her eyes. Her attention snapped back to the dark-haired man, who was making toward her window with boxes of clamps in hand.
"What? Hang on, what're you doin', Elias?" What, was she five years old again and thus everything in the world was a danger? A baseball bat, and some pepper spray - was he expecting some kind of attack to happen? Pushing off of the couch, she stepped in front of Elias before he could reach the window.
