For the most part, Elias remained quiet while the kid beside him rambled on. It was coming to him, in much the same way as it had with Charlie, that this person beside him was probably not much younger than he himself. Even still, he couldn't ignore the sense that there was a great difference between them.
Charlie didn't seem pleased to see him. Or himself. He waited, then, until the other one was done with his rambling. And because it was polite, he waited for Charlie to respond to him as well. Standing there in casual dress - black button-down shirt, no tie, no jacket, black slacks - Elias gave the dog a good looking over. Friendly type, certainly. But he looked big enough to handle a fight if he needed to. At least the girl had a dog. He approved.
But what he didn't approve of was the last few words he'd heard from the kid to his right. "... after what happened," was it? His eyes remembered some of that ice and narrowed at nothing in particular. His jaw clicked.
"I brought you these," he finally said, simply, and to the point. He wasted very little breath on useless words.
