"Oh HA HA, very funny." Vanessa shook her head. This guy was just full of quirky comebacks, even at this late hour. Vanessa looked at the clock and grumbled. It was so very, very late.

"You can just leave it out here actually. There are a few cabinets I can't reach without it, and it's not in anyone's way. Thanks for helping me out Idris, I appreciate it, not that you had much choice. Don't be a stranger, but do be a stranger at this hour please." Vanessa smiled and was suddenly torn. Would a 3:30 ish quick kiss be weird? Probably. Would that stop her? Nope. She paused for only a moment or two, but leaned in to give him a quick kiss, it wasn't exactly a little peck on the lips, but it wasn't exactly a make-out fest.
