Who: Sarah and Honey Skye
What: Picking up her package and a reunion
Where: 207
When: After this and this
Warnings: Likely none

Sarah really regretted signing for that stupid package when she saw the note in the lobby. So far she was only aware of Roy's presence in the building, but she was actually glad he was there - even if he was working quite a bit, too much for his own good as usual. But Honey Skye? Well... that was a different story. Even though she'd realized a long time ago that she was much better off without Vince, being unceremoniously dumped for another woman wasn't the most ideal way to have a relationship end. Besides, the blonde had always been so superior back in high school, and apparently it was wishful thinking to believe that all of that could be left behind.

Then again, maybe this was a chance to finally let the past lie and work things out. In any case, Sarah planned on being polite and not the least bit bitter - that would be pathetic and childish, not to mention the fact that Vince wasn't worth it even now. For all she knew they might not even be together anymore.

She wasn't exactly sure when to expect Skye to show up, but she made sure she was prepared after leaving the note just in case. Opening the package seemed tacky, so she managed to resist her curiosity and leave it very much unopened. She was flicking through tv channels when she heard a knock at her door, and after taking a moment to compose herself, Sarah headed to the door and pulled it open with a slight smile. As soon as she set eyes on Honey Skye, she knew it was the same girl from high school - she looked different, a little older; yet there were still similarities.

"Hi. Wow, it's... been a while, hasn't it?"

Honey Skye was determined to get her package this evening. That the package was signed for her by Sarah Pryce was not as surprising as it should be. It seemed that this place had been a magnet for people from her past... Perhaps there was some validity to this "haunted" something or other that Xander had gone on about.

Up to Sarah's apartment Honey went. Perhaps she should have felt awkward about it but she didn't. She wasn't afraid to knock on her door. The time they'd spent in their own private lives should be water under the bridge.

A curt triple knock was given and she stood, assured and perhaps still feeling superior and when the door opened this feeling did not abate." Well hello, Sarah. It has been awhile." She'd said with a bright smile, "You know, I feel like I've already had this very same question asked of me today...by Paul."

Even though years had passed since high school, seeing Honey Skye made Sarah feel like a teenager all over again. Even if it wasn't intention, the woman just had this air about her that exuded superiority and confidence. Still, she wasn't about to let her uncertainty show, and managed to maintain her smile - until she mentioned Paul, at least.

At first it didn't quite click, and her expression became one of faint puzzlement before she made the connection and her surprise came on too suddenly to hide. "Paul? As in... Paul Halloran? He's here?" She stared for a moment before remembering herself, taking a step back and giving her room to enter. Sorry... please, come in. We can talk inside."

The puzzled expression Sarah wore was delightful and she enjoyed knowing she wasn't the only one that had heard the theme to the Twilight Zone bouncing around her subconcious.

It was creepy ...but that was just the tip of the iceberg. She couldn't wait to tell her the rest of the tale so she didn't hesitate to step in, getting out of the way of the door so that Sarah could shut the door, look through the peep hole and possibly throw up if she wanted to.

"Yes." She said, glancing around, sizing up the apartment. It was so small compared to the penthouse. "Paul Halloran, the very one."

But she didn't stop there, she wasn't going to let that news sink in before she delivered the rest. Why should she? Her news had real shock appeal and you didn't spare the cat anything chopping its tale off one piece at a time. "Paul told me Roy is here too."

Wait. Still not done...

"I just arrived myself. I've moved into P3 with Vincent only days ago." She twirled to face Sarah, allowing her skirt to umbrella gracefully and swish around her calves fancifully.

"Isn't that just so...perplexing?"

This was definitely feeling more and more like high school with each passing moment. She was clearly out of the loop, not having known that Paul was living in the building, and now Honey was here without any warning at all - it just seemed strange, that of all the possible places to move in to, it had to be here. Too preoccupied to immediately register the fact that her apartment was certainly on the small side, she shut the door and took that brief second of having her back turned to take a deep breath before facing her again.

Since she'd already known that Roy was here, Sarah simply nodded. "I knew about Roy - we met up when he first moved in." It was nice seeing him again, and she wondered if he knew about Paul being here too. It must have been awkward, and maybe he didn't want to mention it. Sarah was about to let out a little sigh of relief when Honey continued on, and she didn't do any better at disguising her surprise this time around either.

"Vince is here too? Wow." This was really ridiculous, like some kind of bad reality TV show. Roy was definitely going to lose his mind when he found out Vince was living here, if he didn't already know. "It's... very perplexing. Such a strange coincidence." Of course, there was that little fact that Honey and Vince had moved in together - and into a penthouse, no less, but she couldn't bring herself to be upset over it. She knew that Vince wasn't right for her, and she didn't miss him one bit; it was just overwhelming, to find out so many of her old high school clan were suddenly all under the same roof. She could have thought on it for hours, but Sarah was trying to avoid dwelling and instead let out a small laugh. "Anyway, how have you been since we last saw each other?"

"I've been well. I've been busy." Honey answered Sarah's question. Time was moving so fast and she couldn't believe how many years had gone by since they were stuck at some party in the woods, watching desperate teenagers bleed the empty keg for a few more precious drops of beer.

She did not miss those days at all.

Sarah looked well and of course that she wasn't oozing discontent at her news made Honey sort of...proud. "What about you? I hope prosperity has found you."

She nodded, not doubting for a second that Honey had indeed been busy. She'd always been ambitious in high school and it would have been a shock to find out that she'd slowed down since. "That's good to hear." Sarah was sure she had some sort of amazing career, but she wasn't really that jealous. She liked her job, and that counted for a lot in her eyes.

"I wouldn't quite call it prosperity, but I'm getting there. I like what I'm doing, at least." Money was fantastic and she often wished she had more of it, but she'd been able to manage just fine so far. "I'm working in a fairly large greenhouse in the area - I'd like to own my own someday, so I'm working my way up the ladder." It was said with an almost stubborn tilt of her chin, nearly too slight to be noticeable. She wasn't afraid of being judged, but it was more instinct than anything else.

Honey's Modus Operandi was to go for it without falter so this "someday"
business seemed strange and also a little cowardly. Maybe Sarah needed a little push. Some gentle encouragment could go a long way.

"You should look into opening that business now while you are young and vital. Why wait? You're working your way up the ladder because?" She squinted at the girl, gave pause but the question was hypothetical. She didn't expect an answer nor would she wait for one.

"It's so much easier for a woman to get a small business loan...especially when they are single." Honey went for her purse and when she found she hadn't carried it with her she searched her skirt pocket for her business cards but remembered that she hadn't had any printed yet and besides, Sarah knew where she lived. "I might be able to pull some strings for you. Why not consider it?"

Honey's questions caught her off guard, and they weren't easy to answer - not without sounding monotonous and repetitive. Still, that was just the way things were - nothing had ever been handed to her, she'd always had to work for it and believed that was truly how success was achieved. She had to prove herself, and that took time; besides, she wanted to feel like she'd earned her success when she finally achieved it. Her mouth opened in response, but suddenly she was uncertain. Was she really holding herself back?

A small business loan? Things that had always seemed out of her reach were being talked about right now, but Sarah managed to hide the fact that she was ruffled under an exterior of perfect composure. "It is?" She knew it sounded ignorant, but she really didn't know very much about business. The idea of Honey pulling strings for her was... well, she wasn't really sure what to think about it, and part of her didn't like the idea of strings being pulled - but she didn't want to be rude. "I'll consider it." And she would. "It's a really generous offer... thank you."

Honey Skye never had anything handed to her either. Her will had been her way but she could admit there had been plenty of mentors and people who'd helped. She was happy to repay this kindness to someone else. But she supposed it took all sorts and if everyone's ambition matched her own then there'd be too many kings and not enough pawns.

"Very good." Honey replied and that was that. The ball had been thrown and now it was over in the other court.

"I'd like to pick up my package now please, Sarah." Honey Skye looked over Sarah's shoulder, searching it out in anticipation.

((GOD THIS IS SO LATE. SORRY FOR THE UBER FAIL. D:))

Sarah was relieved that Skye didn't push the issue further, and she really did intend to give it some thought - just not right now. With all their talk of the past and catching up, she'd almost forgotten why Skye was here in the first place. "Oh, of course." She could have hit herself for being so stupid, but instead turned and headed into the kitchen to retrieve said package.

"Here you are." She returned quickly with the very much unopened package, holding it out with a slight smile. She was a little curious as to what it held, but overall wasn't too concerned with it.
