It was impossible not to keep himself from moaning slightly from the press of lips and the darting of tongue. He held him closely and his entire body felt warmer from the contact they shared.
James broke away from Adam and smiled softly. For once the hard edge on his face disappeared and he was more open, more emotional than he had ever been to anyone other than his family. He ran a hand down Adam's arm and slipped his fingers amongst his friends, entwining them and feeling Adam's warm hand against his own.
"There's a cave," James said bluntly, as if it was completely normal for him to know the geography of the land they were in. "It's warm and deep and usually the pine needles blow in to make a soft floor. Let's go to it." He gave a small, pleading tug of Adam's hand and his expression had an honesty in it that was unusual for James.
