She nervously toyed with her hair. He had laughed, did she look silly? Oh God, she looked silly didn't she? She had rushed getting ready and now she looked silly and he could tell she had been sick and she never should have gotten ready so fast. Okay. There was nothing she could do, so she was just going to pretend she hadn't heard him laugh. Maybe he wouldn't do it again and everything would be okay.

At the sight of the joint, she relaxed. This she could handle. After all the stress she'd gone through today, she could use it. Again, she fingered a strand of her hair then joined him on the couch. Not too close, but close enough.

"What are we watching?"
