The touch of the other man on her arm made Lily relax slightly. It was a good reminder that Adam was still there and it wasn't solely Lily and the clerk in the room. She looked at Adam and her eyes softened in a comforting gaze to him. He seemed cautious of all that was going on but Lily felt in her gut that there was much more to Adam than he was letting on and it pleased her. "We can walk. It's a lovely place that doesn't employ assholes."
Her hand brushed over Adam's back as they moved forward but the clerks parting words caused Lily to pause again. Her jaw set and she looked dangerous. Turning she glared at the clerk with a look that could have set anyone on fire. Call her a bodyguard, sure, she had been one for her brother all of her life. But the derogatory term was what caught her attention and she considered with quick angry thoughts if she should hit the man or not. "What?"
