"A pleasure to meet you too," Joaquin nodded, feeling a bit silly the way he was grinning, but he couldn't help it. "Thank you so much. I've been so nervous, um, all night really. I've never had a show on my own before-- not a big one like this, anyway." He gave a little nervous laugh when he realized he probably shouldn't blather on about being completely new to this kind of thing. Somehow, though, Joaquin felt less like his every action was being picked apart while talking to Luc. Relaxed, no, but he was getting there. Luc Haust. He'd have to remember that, though he doubted he'd see the man again.
The hand on Joaquin's shoulder was certainly not unwelcome, though he hadn't been expecting it. Luc seemed like a nice enough guy and not at all one of the snooty types he'd found himself surrounded by all night, and what could a drink hurt? Maybe then he'd actually be able to talk to people, at least. Somehow, though, he felt that if Luc wanted to keep talking, the others might have to wait their turn. It wasn't as if he was the only one they could talk to if they wanted to buy anything, anyway...
Pieces. He's interested in more than one? Joaquin figured he might as well be dreaming, having gone into this with the mindset of oh, don't be disappointed if it doesn't go over well, it'll just put your name out there, your work out there, and there he was about to talk prices on multiple pieces with a rather handsome man. There had to be a catch, right? "That sounds lovely," he agreed, sliding his hand into his pocket. "I actually uh-- I kinda made a list of rough prices, just so... I wouldn't forget or anything, I mean there's-- a lot of them. But they're all, um, negotiable, of course." He glanced over at the other man as they moved toward the bar, thanking himself for his own bold decision to actually talk to someone that night before they talked to him.
