"Oh," Luc said, brows raising a couple more notches and that smile broadening into a radiant grin. This was his neighbor, then. Oh, wow. He couldn't help but flick a quick glance down her legs again before he stepped back and held the door wider, gesturing with his hand that wasn't on the knob for her to come in.
"I, uh - you can come in, if you'd like." Because he realized that leaving a beautiful woman outside his door was beyond rude. Not that he thought being inside a place that was only partially unpacked was appropriate, but it made him feel a little less like a heathen just then - and with how she was bringing out all of these long-lost, caveman-esque emotions in him, he figured he probably should at least attempt some sort of civility to compensate for it. Thank God people couldn't read minds, because all his was saying was want.
Of course, he was almost positive she got it all the time (when you looked like that, who could help it really?). Which was a thought that made him check himself a little better, of course - he didn't want to be that guy, after all. Because he hated that guy. Who didn't hate that guy, anyway?
"I know the place is a mess right now, I just moved in today - but I'm Luc. Luc Haust, and I'm very pleased to make your acquaintance Lia." He tipped his head slightly in a nod and held his hand out to shake hers. "It won't be like this for long, I can assure you. I was actually on my way out to go replace some picture frames that got the better of me today, but I - uh, well - " He stopped and pressed his lips together to suppress some of the embarrassment he was feeling right then. It didn't work. "I seem to have misplaced my keys."
