It was definitely a dismissal, but it felt closer to being tucked into bed rather than being said goodbye to. Which was still a weird sensation in itself, but Charlie allowed herself to enjoy it for a moment. She took Elias' hand in her own, giving it a firm if somewhat timid shake (that still felt somewhat awkward, like he wasn't the sort of person you'd shake hands with, but do something else that escaped her mind for the moment - the hand holding/shaking/whatever was already asking a lot of her) before releasing to drop both of her hands at her sides.
"Night, then. Elias." The name was tacked on almost like an after thought, not because it was required of her but because she did like the familiarity it bought. Then, without further ado, she turned on her heel and went back to her rounds, for once attending to her job without further incidents. Maybe it was the thought that she was being watched, or rather that anything she did would be noted and she'd be reprimanded for - and not harshly, necessarily, but be found to be disappointing - by a force that was much more important than her boss.
