Her mouth opened with a million more protests, a dozens deprecating remarks and possibly just as many questions. Whatever Elias' chain of thought, Charlie was clearly not following it. Then again, she was perfectly content to simply forget about that night entirely, pretend that it hadn't happened and that she was living a completely normal life at present. Yeap, and pigs flew.
Rolling her eyes, Charlie gave a brief shrug in response. "So yah just want me to invite you up to my friend's apartment in order to interrogate him about somethin' he probably hasn't told anyone about, especially since he doesn't know you...sure, that sounds like it'd be fun. Ry's a good squirmer, it's not like he'd hide anything." And that she said with complete confidence, absolutely knowing that Rylee would never keep anything from her. Not in the way she'd been keeping things from him. But that was simply another thing Elias didn't need to know, at least not at present. He had probably already figured it out, that or would learn in due time. He seemed like a quick learner.
"Yeah, sure, I'll find time to pencil yah into mah crazy schedule," she finished, dropping her arms to her sides and letting fingers slide into belt loops. She wasn't sure how long she'd been here, chatting with him, but in all honesty she'd rather be doing that than making her rounds. And despite the feelings of rebellion and general evasiveness, he did make her feel rather...comfortable. It was an odd feeling, something she didn't associate with anyone but Rylee; and Cat. Charlie frowned. "I'm in 103." She'd not given that information to anyone, and yet here she felt like she had to.
