"Yes, I probably do. But you already gave me my medicine, so stop worrying over me." Simon shifted and pulled the blankets up over both of them, giving her shoulder a small rub. "And if it's bad news..."
He trailed off, unsure of what to say. So the silence hung in the air for a long while before he let out a quiet sigh, reaching out with the arm not wound around her, touching the envelope for a short moment. "Then we'll pretend we never heard it and go on getting to know one another. You're not leaving. Trust me." Simon cracked a small smile then and drew his hand back, tucking beneath the covers for warmth once more.
"Go on. Open it. I've been waiting a week with it sitting here, you know."
