"We should find out," Rylee replied quickly. "The Springfield is rather impressive. But I do have more modern day weapons as well so just in case we couldn't bring the Springfield..."
He smirked and gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. "You could eat popcorn and drink a beer while watchin' a reenactment. They sell those things at the really huge deals. The cannon blasts are fantastic! Definitely one of my favorite things. You know, during Gettysburg the sound of cannon blasts could be heard all the way to Harrisburg and that was forty miles away. Of course, there aren't that many Civil War reenactments here in California. They seem much more popular in the East and tend to happen on the old battlefield sites. But with the 150th anniversary of the war they seem to be cropping up 'round here. You should see a live mortar demonstration one day. No reenactments, really, just cannons and guns going off with live ammo."
His rambling came to a halt as he realized he was getting into that place. The place that usually caused the head of the museum to tug at Rylee's arm and pull him away from a group of museum goer's because he was getting a little too excited while talking about battles that had ended over a hundred years before. He shifted uncomfortably on his feet and looked sheepishly at Samuel, wondering if he too would give Rylee that look of confusion mixed with a twinge of fear that some of the museum goers would have.
