Lily rested her elbows on her knees and put her face into her hands, rubbing at her face for a few moments before running her hands back over her hair. She looked up at the people around them and didn't recognize a single person, then her eyes zeroed in on a woman with a dog. "Ugh," Lily let out a faint groan and leaned back against the bench. "Why do they have to allow dogs in here?"
She let out a sigh and looked back over the group, glancing back at the dog one last time. It looked friendly but that didn't change the fact that Lily just didn't enjoy dogs. Particularly bigger ones. She sighed once more then swung her head to the side to look up at her brother. "Hey." She smacked his leg and gave him a tired smile. "Come sit next to me. You'd think living together we'd see each other more. And yeah, I don't know a single person here. I've been too busy since we moved in."
She slid to the edge of the bench and patted the space beside her, welcoming her brother to the seat as her hand went back to her neck to rub it again. "This is a horrible way for me to meet our neighbors. I'm half asleep and won't even remember them by morning."
